It was hardly a random sample. The one farm they did video on recently was the largest dairy farm in the northeast. whats the odds they picked suck a big fish in a random sampling? Not very likely.
I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of dairy farmers take babies from their mothers and sell them for beef and/or veal. The mothers are slaughtered at a quarter of their natural life spans. All this from reading industry journals. All this for a product that is neither healthy nor necessary.
We called several people to come butcher a down cow for our own use and none of them would do it. They said that the law will not let them butcher a downer for any reason and we can not ship a downer period so there is no possible way that you can get a downer for your family.
