Land Prices Soar as Farmers National Reports Sales Up 56% in Six Months
Land Sales Up 041421
Farmers appear to be buying and selling a lot of land right now, and as a result, land sales are up more than 50% from a year ago.
The Senior Vice President of Real Estate Operations for Farmers National Company reported during the first six month of its fiscal year, land sales were up 56% over the same time last year. Compared to the past three years, the buying and selling of land shot up 67%.
Farmers National says higher sales and prices for good cropland and for development land contributed to the sales volume, along with the strong demand to own land across the board.
