Participants of a crop tour conducted by Grupo Labhoro and Noticias Agricolas traveled 3,000 kilometers (1,864 miles) across Santa Fe, Cordoba, Buenos Aires and Entre Rios, Argentina last week analyzing the crop situation.

Participants found the area hardest hit by hot and dry conditions appeared to be Santa Fe and Entre Rios, while crops in Cordoba were better. Crop losses range from 70% in some areas to only minor impacts in areas that were lucky to receive rain. To prevent further crop losses, participants of the crop tour indicated the area would need to receive four to six inches of rainfall in short order.
