The grain elevator explosion happened north west of Des Moines at Landus Cooperative. Reports show no one was injured in the explosion.

Landus Cooperative says smoldering grain in a self-contained bin next to the grain elevator caused it. The co-op says it plans to reopen the facility this fall.

The video was captured on security at a neighboring business which told AgDay us the fire is still smoldering.
