BOI is Live and Working

The new Beneficial Ownership Information Reporting system is now live and working at the fincen.gov website.

You will have two options in preparing the reports.

First option is to manually input the information into a PDF that you prepare offline and then upload to the site when you are finished. You will also use this same PDF to update for any changes to the information.

The second option is to prepare and file the report directly online with FinCen directly. If there are changes you will have to prepare a new online report.

Under both options there will be the ability to download a transcript indicating that you have done the filing.

We have not filed any reports yet and once we do we will let you know how easy or hard it is to do the filing. We are estimating the actual filing process is likely fairly easy, the hard part will be gathering the data needed to prepare the report.
