60% of Sorghum Crop is Mature with Harvest Underway

The National Sorghum Producers (NSP) reports that 34% of the 2016 sorghum crop has been harvested as of today, six percentage points behind last year and three points behind the five-year average.

64% of the crop is in good to excellent condition, only two percentage points lower than this time last year. 94% of the sorghum coloring has advance to complete.

60% of the sorghum crop was mature by October 1, 10 percentage points behind last year and three points behind the five-year average.
