Looking back upon 2017 farmer sentiment turned lower in November, according to the Purdue/CME Ag Barometer Index. At a reading of 128, the measure of producer optimism dropped seven points in November. It was the second weakest period observed during 2017. The index is based on a monthly survey of 400 agricultural producers. While less confident than October, the ag barometer suggests agricultural producers are still more optimistic prior to the fall 2016 election.
