Trump Retains Farmer Support

August 8, 2018 12:35 PM
A new survey commissioned by CNBC shows farmers still support Trump.

Despite the pain farmers are feeling from the current trade dispute, most of them still support President Trump.

According to survey of 19 farm states conducted by Morning Consult exclusively for CNBC, 10 states saw the president’s approval ratings improve from May 1 through July 31, his approval in 7 states stayed the same and in Idaho his approval declined.

Farmers stand by Trump despite trade pain from CNBC.

Soybean and cattle farmer Eric Nelson told CNBC he believes President Trump is doing the right thing by trying to negotiate better trade deals.

Analysts say farmer sentiment could shift when harvest arrives.

I would not expect a vote of no confidence from people feeling pain when the doctor is about to provide pain relief. Ask again in a year when the pain has doubled, the medicine is unavailable and hard-earned markets have been lost.

Who else is there for farmers to support? Democrats? Give me a freaking break! Yeah, farmers should line up to support a bunch of socialists. They support "Medicare for all". 32 TRILLION dollars over 10 years lol! What a bunch of dumb people. Abolish ICE oh that's a great idea. Let illegals come and go as they please is brilliant. Democrats have many more crazy ideas. I figure farmers will continue to support Trump because there really isn't any other choice.
