Record imports in October drove the U.S. trade deficit to the highest level in a decade. The Commerce Department says the gap between what the United States sells and what it buys from foreign countries rose to $55.5 billion in October.

That's the fifth straight increase and the highest since October 2008.  The deficit in the trade of goods with China rose 7.1% to a record $43.1 billion dollars.

Trust me IL Grain Farmer, and everyone else. The Lying Conman, Traitor/Trader Trump is the "Swamp", and has been for many, many years!!! Time is running out on him, and his scumbag family. Soon we will all see what a bunch of criminally bad actors the phony Trump family, their businesses, and the people connected with them really are. It will be so overwhelmingly horrendous, and criminally intended, that the most stalwart of the Phony, Lying Conman, Traitor/Trader Trump believers/supporters will be forced to hide from it. As they are the ones who don't like to hear, or see the truth. They prefer to live in some idealistic fantasy??? And lets not forget, we farmers are some of the most egregious, and wealthy welfare recipients in our U.S.A.!!!

Republicans always wreck the economy. In a matter of months you will see them wreck it in record time because they controlled all branches. The rich ended up with a whole lot extra and regular folks will end up with less. Will people ever learn?

JLB, I suppose you have read "Lies My Teacher Told Me" by James W. Loewen". Note that it is getting better so it's you and me who have the worst information. My kids probably already knew about the first democracy in the Americas preceding European settlers and the myth of Betsy Ross etc. Not much about politics in the book. But I'm sure you and I know which president in the past 30 yrs did not operate with a deficit. And the one that made us the most money but we now all seem to hate. It seems we tell ourselves lies as much as anything. Do you suppose it is what they call "cognitive dissonance". We do things counter to our beliefs and then adjust our memories accordingly. The way we seem to be headed we will have record deficits and record debt. And we have done little to prepare for the future or for the betterment of mankind. I hope you also have enjoyed the ride. I'm just hoping for a good cheap beef hotdog. I believe we're getting there.
