Thursday’s markets were mixed. Soybeans scored more contract highs and new high closes, amid strong demand, fresh export sales and planting delays in the northern Midwest. July corn got spillover support from soybeans but December ended lower despite a hot, dry extended forecast. Wheat could not follow the row crops, amid continued uncertainty about the Ukraine export situation. Livestock futures were mostly lower as well with cattle running into chart resistance and seeing some profit taking, while poor exports weighed on hogs.
