French soft wheat exports outside the European Union are expected to reach a three-year high of 10.3 MMT in 2022-23, according to the initial forecast from the country’s ag ministry. That would be up 17% from 2021-22 for which the forecast was lowered by 300,000 MT from last month – the fourth straight monthly reduction. The ag ministry expects France to ship 7 MMT of wheat within the EU, down 12% from 2021-22. France’s wheat stocks are forecast to fall nearly 30% in 2022-23 to 2.3 MMT.
