Ag Leader released its latest aftermarket autosteer solution, TurnPath, for its SteadySteer and SteerCommand Z2 assisted steering systems. The software update is available to users via a one-time unlock fee in the InCommand display.

Ag Leader notes several key benefits to farmers who opt-in to the new feature, chief among them a more efficient approach to those sometimes pesky end-of-row turns.

“By automating end-of-row turns, TurnPath enables the operator to pay closer attention to other tasks,” says Mans Vossebeld, product specialist.

By leveraging Ag Leader’s boundary guidance feature alongside the new update, users will reportedly enjoy stable repeatability while undertaking in-field tasks. “And TurnPath is user friendly, which makes fine-tuning it a piece of cake,” Vossebeld says, adding the update was developed to fit seamlessly into a farmer’s pre-existing workflow.

As fully autonomous tractor solutions continue to garner headlines in the ag industry, Ag Leader advocates a farmer-centric approach to integrating in-cab technologies.

“We focus on automating around the operator by adding more features, like TurnPath, to further increase his value in the cab,” Vossbeld says. “This not only helps a grower become a better operator but also enables him to better manage the farm from the cab.”
