Fundamentals Key To Corn Growth And Development

Farm Journal agronomists detail agronomic factors that support corn growing success.

When you focus on getting the fundamentals of corn growing right, you dramatically increase the likelihood of having a successful corn growing season, says Missy Bauer, Farm Journal Associate Agronomist.

That is the primary message Bauer says she shared with the nearly 75 farmers who attended the inaugural Corn College for the South session, held in conjunction with the 2011 Ag Connect Expo.

“Farmers asked a lot of questions about corn growth and development, as well as what other types of agronomic factors can help increase yields,” Bauer says.
