A line-of-sight propane tank monitor called Tank Q is the invention of an Ohio man, Chris Clabaugh. Coupled with a remote-ready LP tank dial, this monitor will alert customers when their tanks reach the 25% level. The device flashes to indicate the tank needs attention, alerting the owner and possibly neighbors, as it is viewable from all angles. The error of the system is +/-5%.
