John Deere has announced it is doubling the warranty period for eligible John Deere original equipment (OE) service and repair parts from 12 to 24 months, or 4,000 machine hours of coverage, whichever comes first. The expanded warranty applies to eligible OE parts purchased in the U.S. and Canada.

“Our customers expect equipment and parts they can depend on, along with the flexibility to make decisions that are right for their operations,” says Denver Caldwell, vice president, aftermarket and customer support. “We’re continuing to invest across the aftermarket experience to deliver on that expectation, from strengthening our parts warranty to expanding parts choice and repair options, all backed by the support of our John Deere dealer network and focused on delivering greater value throughout the life of their equipment.”

Tiered Coverage for Dealer and Self-Installed Repairs

Eligible parts installed by an authorized John Deere dealer receive full coverage during the first 12 months, followed by parts-only coverage for months 13 through 24 (or up to 4,000 hours).

Meanwhile, eligible OE parts installed by farmers, fleet operators or independent service providers receive parts-only warranty coverage for the full 24-months or 4,000-hour duration.

The change gives farmers two full growing seasons to operate their equipment knowing any defective OE components can be replaced under warranty without having to pay out-of-pocket.

Expanding Options Across the Machine Lifecycle

The enhanced warranty is designed to meet customers at various machine lifecycle stages:

  • John Deere REMAN: Cost-effective remanufactured components that offer an alternative to new parts.
  • ESSENTIALS by John Deere: Value-focused John Deere parts fit for customers seeking a different price and product option, particularly as equipment moves later in its lifecycle.
  • John Deere OE: Premium original equipment parts backed by the new 24-month / 4,000-hour warranty.
  • Turf Parts: Warranty coverage increases to 12 months.

The “Run It Your Way” Initiative expands customer’s access to the tools and information needed to maintain and repair their equipment. The John Deere Operations Center, Equipment Mobile, Shop.Deere.com and Operations Center PRO Service are resources that support customers when they work with their John Deere dealer, another service provider or perform the repairs themselves.
