Case IH Debuts 2000 Series Early Riser Planter
With an all-new cast iron row unit, Case IH announces its first factory integration of Precision Planting components. A 26" toolbar clearance and 60% increase in vertical row-unit travel provides the ability to run in uneven field conditions at high speeds. Field trials prove speeds up to 10 mph. The planter also features larger and heavier Earth Metal blades, an offset design and self-adjusting mud scrapers.
The high-speed planter sports tailed gauge wheels with soil-relief grooves and larger inverted closing disks. Available in 12-, 16- and 24-row and 30" front fold machines, the configurations feature the all-new vSet 2 seed meter and vDrive electric drive. These systems allow each row unit to function like a single row planter and react automatically to changing field conditions.
A flighted belt delivery, the Advanced Seed Delivery, controls the seed from the meter to the furrow. The
SpeedTube belt adjusts with speed and can be used as a conventional seed tube.
A T-handle depth adjustment allows for changing seed depth in 1⁄8" increments when switching between crops.

Gleaner Announces S9 Series Combines
Available in 2016, the Gleaner S96, S97 and S98 models come standard with a 390-bu. grain bin. To improve natural-flow feeding and create clearance under the feed shaft, the feeder house is longer, the floor lower and the runners and torque tube higher than on previous models. Header lift cylinders have been
redesigned and a proportional valve added to the header-life hydraulic system.
The Vision cab features 15% more space and a larger instructor seat. For better views of the cutterbar and header ends, the cab features a 22% larger, deep-curved front windshield for a total of 66 sq. ft. of glass. In the cab, the Tyton terminal offers Gleaner-specific graphics and a color touch-screen interface,
allowing operators to monitor multiple functions with a single touch.

Salford Group Acquires AerWay
With machinery acquisitions on the rise, the Salford Group recently announced plans to expand its tillage offerings by acquiring AerWay advanced aeration products, manufactured by Saf-Holland Canada Ltd.
The purchase offers Salford customers more vertical-tillage options and pastureland-management tools. Salford and AerWay have worked together before on several products and plan to keep on collaborating on engineering in the future.
AerWay will continue to produce equipment in its Norwich, Ontario, Canada, facility and plans to share distribution centers. The Norwich facility will be Salford Group’s sixth manufacturing location, adding to Salford, Ontario; Osceola, Iowa; Cornelia, Ga.; Elie, Manitoba, Canada; and Omsk, Russia.
