AEM Reports May 2011 Equipment Sales

Association shares data that shows a drop in retail sales of tractors and combines.

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), for the month of May 2011, retail sales of tractors and combines in the U.S. dropped across most of the reported segments. Of the segments reported, only four-wheel-drive tractors show an increase compared with May 2010 and year-to-date numbers.

Overall, unit sales dropped below the five-year average and the past five years of sales of the same month.
