Claas Lexion dealers and Tractor-House have teamed together to unveil the Lexion Field Ready Reconditioned program and HarvestingWorld.com website. The two products intertwine offerings of special manufacturer warranty programs and financing, a thorough reconditioning process and inventory of certified used combines throughout North America.
The Lexion Field Ready Reconditioned program, which manufacturer Claas is offering as part of the new Harvesting World used combine network,includes the following standards for all certified combines:
n 75-hour sysCARE machine warranty, including engine, hydro, transmission, electrical, A/C, brake system and steering system (a one-year warranty upgrade is available).
n A 250-point combine inspection (seven to eight hours), with engine and hydraulic oil samples taken.
n A customer care kit with a 13-piece wrench set, variator belt removal bolts, tensioner removal nut, panel wrench and training DVDs with helpful hints and tricks along with detailed videos on how to service the machine at the 10-, 50-, 100- and 500-hour points.
“We also pull engine oil and hydraulic oil samples to analyze machine performance,” explains Jeff Lentz, remarketing manager for Claas. “We want these machines to be certified as field ready, and the customers receive a report on what inspection process was completed and what repairs were made.”
When combines are reconditioned and ready to be sold, they are posted to www.HarvestingWorld.com, hosted by TractorHouse. When a dealer updates a listing on TractorHouse.com, that listing is updated on HarvestingWorld.com as well. Each listing features 28 photos of the machine and a detailed description.
“We want the customers to know that they can and that they should ask for the inspection report,” Lentz says. “The pre-owned combine market is at least twice as large as the new combine market; this program takes the initiative to deal with the saturated used combine market. And it can have the trickledown effect of increasing a machine’s trade-in value.”
Certified Lexion combines feature a Lexion Field Ready Reconditioned feeder-house cover with the serial number of that combine so customers know exactly which machine belongs to the inspection report. After the sale, the customer can elect to keep the cover. All Claas Lexion dealers are eligible to participate in the program, and the dealership’s mechanics perform the inspection and any reconditioning work. All brands of combine harvesters are posted to HarvestingWorld.com.
As part of the launch of the program, customers are urged to visit Harvesting World.com and keep an eye out for Checkered Flag events at Claas Lexion dealer locations. These events feature special machine pricing and many fun activities for the entire family.
