John Deere Introduces 4940 Sprayer

The 4940 sprayer is available with 11 boom section controls, direct injection and 90’ or 120’ booms.

Powered by a 340-hp 9.0 L Interim Tier 4 PowerTech Plus turbocharged engine, the sprayer has four-wheel hydrostatic drive. Dry applications can be made at up to 25 mph, top speed for liquid applications is 20 mph and empty transport speeds are up to 35 mph. The 1,200-gal. tank has been shifted forward for improved front-to-back weight distribution. The machine features the CommandView cab and has a 50" crop clearance.
