An Australian family-owned ag machinery company is hoping to make a splash in the U.S. K-Line Ag recently announced it is launching a subsidiary company in North Dakota and will offer its Speedtiller line to U.S. and Canadian farmers.
“As a family of farmers, we not only understand the agricultural industry from firsthand experience, but [also] have a deep-rooted passion for it,” according to Bill Larsen, director of sales and marketing. “By opening a U.S. operation and continuing to manufacture industry-leading equipment such as the Speedtiller Powerflex, we hope to make tilling more efficient for farmers worldwide.”
Larsen says the Powerflex is the flagship implement in K-Line Ag’s lineup. It is equipped with 31 separate 24-inch discs and can size, mix and incorporate high levels of corn, soybean and cereal crop residue. It has a maximum digging capacity of 348 lbs. per disc and can be operated in “Full Float Mode” or “Non-Float Mode,” depending on the terrain.
Larsen notes several other features, including:
- Disc and roller pressure can be varied on the go
- Increased digging capacity
- Lower machine damage in rocky soils
- High performance in soft, wet or sandy soils
- Simple machine setup, including hydraulic on-the-go adjustment
