To deliver fuel efficiency, uptime and agronomic benefits, Fendt announces the new Fendt 900 Gen7 Series tractors (five models ranging from 296 to 415 hp) and 1000 Gen3 Series tractors (four models ranging from 396 to 517 hp.)
The company says the tractors are built to be agile and provide the necessary horsepower and features needed by row crop and large-scale livestock operations.
The two series provide symmetry in many of their features, starting with the FendtOne operator station.
“Once the Fendt 700 came out with the FendtOne operators station, dealers and farmers were asking how soon can we get that on the 900 and 1000 Series,” says Daniel Smith Senior Product Marketing Specialist. “The FendtOne station gives a new level of creature comforts and customization.”
The 12” LED touchscreen display is mounted in the armrest, and an optional 12” display is designed to be recessed in the roof liner and pulled down when in use–both are synchronized.
“With these interfaces, farmers no longer have to fumble through multiple layers of menus or pages to get what they need to get to–it’s all very intuitive,” Smith says. “Anyone used to operating an iPhone can easily operate this tractor with just a few hours in the seat.”
In addition to the displays, two joysticks are built into the armrest---both a larger multifunction joystick and a standard 3L joystick for hydraulics and ISOBUS functions—no external joystick is necessary as long as the attachment supports the AUX-N standard.
He also explains the generation denotes how long the series has been outfitted with the signature Fendt Vario transmission.
“The cab is luxurious, but the heartbeat of a Fendt is the Vario transmission. It’s what makes the operator experience what it truly means to operate a Fendt,” Smith says. “Along with the front axle suspension, the cab suspension, and reduced noise level, operators can go longer into their work day and be ready the next day for another productive day.”
Technologies include:
- Fendt Guide Ready with WAAS correction (Standard for five years)
- Fendt Connect telematics (standard)
- TI Headland---TI auto and Variotronic turn assist (optional)
- VarioGrip tire inflation system (optional)
- Self-cleaning air filter system (optional)
“These tractors show our farmer-first mentality. Farmers still love doing what they do. And the updates to these machines showcase that at AGCO, it’s farmer first,” Smith says.
