What A Day: The Buck Stopped Here
Unfortunately, the farmer doesn’t have a great hunting tale to go with this shed.

Tractor Tales: A Tractor With Two Names
With a bold orange paint job, this 1929 United Allis Chalmers is hard to miss. David Maddox of Hope, Mo., says this unique tractor was the first of the series to be produced in 1930.
“The United company was formed by several little companies that saw a good market for a utility tractor still, so they went to Allis Chalmers to see if they would build it,” Maddox says. “Allis Chalmers did with the agreement they could build one with their name on it. Mine has the United name on the front. The Allis Chalmers one has their name on the front. I have enough parts to build at least one of the Allis Chalmers tractors down the road.”
Maddox found the tractor in eastern Colorado and invested many hours to restore the old iron to pristine condition.
