The Best Chocolate Milk in the World!

If Leroy Shatto was on a ship, you might see him on the bow like Leonardo DiCaprio screaming he’s the king of the world! The difference though, there’s little chance his schooner is going down.

Faced with a decision to make major changes in his operation or quit dairying altogether, Leroy Shatto took the road of most resistance and started Shatto Milk Company with incredible success. Since Leroy was named one of our Top Producer of The Year finalists in 2008, I’ve become quite familiar with Shatto Milk Company and his wildly successful business. (Read his story from the October 2008.)

His efforts have won him countless awards, regional acclaim for quality and taste, and even to a meeting with then-President George W. Bush in the White House. Today he’s taken home yet another award. And it’s a big one...his whole chocolate milk was awarded one of the three best in the world at the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisc., at the dairy products judging contest.

It’s well deserved and the pride Leroy gets from producing his milk and having people know who is doing it is beyond anything he can explain. “In 28 years of selling to the milk co-op, nobody ever told me they liked my milk. I hear it every day now.”

Be proud Leroy, it’s well deserved and it’s great milk...chocolate, white, banana, strawberry, and just about any other flavor you can imagine. Congratulations Leroy and everyone at Shatto Milk Company.
