TCF - Farmland Investment Fair

Each year I have the pleasure of participating in the Farmland Investment Fair, an event sponsored by The Chicago Farmers. TCF is a collective group of farmland owners, farm operators, and people involved in virtually every aspect of agribusiness. This year the fair is scehduled for Saturday February 6, 2010 and will be held at the Joliet Junior College Weitendorf Agricultural Education Center, just south of Joliet, Illinois. In addition to a large hall full of exhibitors that cover nearly all aspects of buying and selling farmland, the all day fair will feature 15 seminars with specialized topics ranging from land value updates and managing machiery costs to organic agriculture and wind farms. Each seminar will be hosted by an expert in the respective topic area, so the practical side of each session is sure to interest and educate anyone directly involved in - or those who hope to become involved in - the ownership, rental, or operation of Midwestern farmland.
