Projected U.S. feed grain production for 2010/11 is unchanged, but smaller carryin for corn, sorghum, and barley is expected to reduce domestic feed grain supplies.
For 2019, USDA predicts U.S. farmers will plant 92 million acres of corn, which is a 3.3% jump from last year. Alternatively, farmers will plant 85 million acres of soybeans, which is down 4.7% from last year.
The partial U.S. government shutdown is closing out day 21, and is now tied for the longest government closure ever. No USDA major USDA reports means the trade is in the dark, and it could be a detriment to agriculture.
