Corn and soybean crop conditions have dropped slightly this week, with corn showing a decrease of two points to 75% good to excellent and a decrease of four points in soybeans to 69%.
The corn crop is showing 7% poor to very poor, with soybeans sitting at 8% poor to very poor.
Soybeans are now showing 93 percentage points of the crop planted with 87 percentage points emerged, increasing from 80 percentage points emerged as of last week. South Dakota has jumped 16 points in emergence, reaching 81. North Dakota has also shown a substantial increase from 76 percentage points to 90 percentage points of the crop emerged.
Although Missouri still has the least amount of soybeans emerged at 72, this is an increase of 13 points from last week.
Winter wheat is now sitting at 91 percentage points headed and 17 percentage points harvested. Crop conditions are down one point to 65% excellent or good and 26% fair.
Oats are showing 65% headed, an increase of 15 points from last week. Conditions haven’t changed from last week, still showing 81% excellent to good, 15% fair and less than 4% poor or very poor.
In sorghum, 88 percentage points of the crop has been planted, an increase of 10 points from last week. Nineteen percentage points of the crop has been headed.
