Accelerating Diversity & Inclusion Across U.S. Agriculture

During the panel “Accelerating Diversity and Inclusion Across U.S. Agriculture,” we’ll visit with leaders across food, agriculture and conservation whose organizations are committed to creating a more resilient and equitable operating environment for farmers and ranchers.

The Honorable Director Aurelia Skipwith of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service will deliver opening remarks sharing her own family’s Mississippi farming heritage and the role of 6,000 FWS across the country in helping private landowners with their stewardship of natural resources and wildlife habitat. Then we’ll build on Director Skipwith’s insights with a panel of experts including Dr. Antomia Farrell of Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS), Zach Ducheneaux of the Intertribal Agriculture Council and Shannon Kellner of Merck Animal Health. Learn practical ways farmers and the greater ag community can engage in rewarding yet uncomfortable or complex issues related to racial equity, access to financial markets and preparing the industry for the next generation of young farm operators.
