The National Mall in Washington, D.C. looks different this week. The Agriculture Council of America and the Association of Equipment Manufacturer’s (AEM) have teamed up to host a Celebration of Modern Agriculture event spanning Monday and Tuesday that will showcase modern ag machinery.

Under the “Agriculture: Growing a Climate for Tomorrow” theme, equipment manufacturers and AEM partners in the Washington D.C. ag community will display how “innovation enables sustainability” that fuels American agriculture.

AEM says now is a better time than ever to bring the ag community together, as USDA works to develop its Climate-Smart Agriculture & Forestry Partnership Program.

“AEM is pleased to provide a forum for showcasing these fascinating displays of the innovations that are enabling modern agriculture to sustainably provide for a growing world, as it will serve as an opportunity to help educate policymakers on the sustainability of today’s producers,” said Nick Tindall, AEM senior director of regulatory affairs. “Highlighting how innovation enables sustainability will be vital to ensuring policies allow farmers and ranchers to produce and innovators to innovate.”

The extensive list of mall exhibitors includes machinery and technology companies as well as ag associations. Viewers can expect products ranging from autonomous robots, combines, applicators and windrowers to data management, in-field conservation practices and creative chemistry.

If you’re interested in watching the event from home, National Ag Day is offering a virtual option here.
