Consultant Raises Brazil’s Corn Crop Estimate, Again

Leaves all other estimates unchanged.

South American crop consultant Dr. Michael Cordonnier has raised his peg of the Brazilian corn crop by 2 million metric tons (MMT) to 64.0 MMT. He also raised the “maximum” and “minimum” estimates by 2 MMT each due to favorable growing conditions for the safrinha crop.

“These rains are occurring at a very beneficial time for the safrinha corn crop as it moves into the grain filling phase,” says Dr. Cordonnier.

Dr. Cordonnier left all other estimates unchanged this week.
