EUROPE: Mostly Dry; Crops Enter Dormancy In Eastern Crop Areas
- Dry weather favors late summer crop harvesting and winter crop establishment over much of northern Europe, although winter grains and oilseeds in Poland, Germany, and the Balkans enter dormancy.
- Showers across Spain and Italy boost moisture for winter wheat planting but hamper corn harvesting.NORTHWESTERN AFRICA: Showers Return

- Locally heavy showers overspread southern Brazil, bringing much-needed relief from dryness to soybeans and other crops, including coffee and sugarcane.
