Creating Plant and Soil Synergy

Explorer 10-0-0 is a soy-based nitrogen, with 60.90% total L amino acids, 62.60% organic matter, 36.30% total organic carbon (C), and a C/N ratio of 3.63 (a way to evaluate the balance of two elements that are important for crop growth and microbial health). Nutri-Plus 2.5-0-0 contains 2.5% organic nitrogen (Explorer), 19.80% total amino acids, and a 25% solution of 100 % unicellular freshwater algae extract. Microelements 1-0-0 with ≥1.00% nitrogen (N), ≥0.45 % Magnesium (Mg), ≥0.020 % Boron (B), ≥0.20% Copper (Cu), ≥0.20% Iron (Fe), ≥0.75% Manganese (Mn), and ≥1.50% Zinc (Zn). In the second application Pro K 0-0-20 was substituted for Microelements with 26% oxide potassium (K2O) and 21% potassium (K).

This briefly explains the dramatic outcome seen in the picture. Ferticell products are complex, unique plasmas (a biological suspension in a liquid medium) that are synergistic leading to greater results than single function ones. Our products are based on different types of unicellular algae, bacteria, and natural extracts of plants, grass, seeds, and minerals. We incorporate the latest technologies available in microbiology, chemistry, and industrial processing. Because of our high amino acid content, that make them absorbable that combined with I.C.E., Inter Cellular Exchange means inputs (including pesticides) are absorbed faster into and utilized by the plant reducing usage rates. This allows for the transfer of nutrients from bacteria or algae cell to the plant cell to stimulate plant growth and the ability to take-up more nutrients. This process takes less than three hours from application to actively working in the plant. Another benefit is if applied to the soil it uses less energy than conventional fertilizers as it is in a useable form and needs no conversion (the activity that uses the most plant energy).

Our freshwater algae extract delivers whatever is in a tank mix into the plant faster and more efficiently to accelerate the already quick amino acids for efficient uptake and utilization than if used without. The second application is foliar so the potassium will be absorbed with the nitrogen for faster uptake. With the combination of the algae (a poly saccharide “prebiotic), the high carbon content and the large amount of organic matter means the soil microbiology is “fed” to improve soil health and remediation (all with no chloride) that is enhanced with additional bacteria.

Another benefit of Ferticell products, like Explorer N (a Plant Protein Nitrogen – PPN), they are not a nitrate nitrogen source. When first discovered, nitrates revolutionized agriculture with high yields, and increasing crop cycles. The negative effects of sources such as urea and ammoniacal nitrogen are known, e.g. salt index. Also, leeching nitrates into ground water is a very real threat and any form of ammonium has issues like gassing off that harms air quality. Every source is different in uptake and efficiency, but plant based is superior. The higher quality PPN reduces application rates because they adhere to soil or plant surface through formation of both short, and long chain polymers from plant derived amino acids. Limiting factors of conventional fertilizers and many sources of animal biproducts are eliminated with PPN with little or no volitization, no chlorides and no energy lost through conversion.

Our Explorer 16-0-0 has an extremely small particle size, 100% water-soluble and requires no agitation. Our Explorers (10-0-0 liquid as well) are 100% compatible in alkaline water and provide a natural pH range for all soils. Explorer uses no animal by-products or products from waste streams eliminating potential risks. Studies prove that a “mixed N nutrition” if used on crops leads to higher yields and seed production including hydroponically grown products.
