Most Ferticell® products utilize a proprietary technology that combines the unique characteristics of freshwater algae (cultivated in fresh water from consistent parent culture, reducing the inconsistencies experienced in salt-based products) with bacteria, enzymes, and minerals as a synergistic plasma to stimulate all plant growth. Plant growth substances (phytohormones) of low concentrations act as a facilitator to influence growth or biosynthesis are found in the algae, unicellular fungi, and bacteria of Ferticell™ products. These are not nutrients, but chemicals in small amounts to promote the growth, development and differentiation of cells and tissues by affecting gene expression, transcription levels, and cellular division.
Ferticell® Universal™ 0-0-1 with 30% of our algae extract (our highest percentage product) provides unique benefits by acting as a bio stimulant. Its action in the phytohormonal regulation stimulates the production of auxins and cytokinins in the rhizosphere and plant tissue. It contains amino acid transporters that are an essential function in all plants to increase yield, leaf color (chlorophyl to absorb the suns energy for photosynthesis), decreases flower loss, and increases density and bulking. It also makes them more homogeneous and have longer post-harvest life through the stimulation of foliar and root growth. It can complement conventional fertilizers by facilitating the transport and assimilation of those nutrients by the plant. It will also unlock the nutrients already present in the soil, and transform them into forms that can be utilized by any crop while reducing their overall salt index.

The process of amino acid synthesis from nitrate in the soil is called nitrogen assimilation and requires a great amount of energy. During stress conditions it makes the process difficult and negatively impacts crop yield. We can alleviate this by applying Pro N7 with a foliar application. Ferticell® amino acids are chelates and unlike synthetic chelates, they are used completely by the plant, no by-product. Our glutamic and glycine form a chelate that prevents Ca from bonding to P making your calcium applications possible, especially as a foliar with ProCal™ 3-0-0 plus 20% Ca or Calcium 880™ with 25% Ca and 25% Algae, to improve plant structure and increasing root development.
