The monthly sales report for tractors and combines from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) shows slower sales for four-wheel-drive tractors and combines. Total farm tractor sales were up 5.7% compared with May 2009 numbers. Four-wheel-drive sales slipped 12.6% compared with May 2009, but year-to-date segment sales have increased 16.4%.
Combines dropped 17.9% compared with May 2009, and year-to-date combine sales are flat.
