App Name:
AgWeb News & Markets
App Features:
AgWeb is a mobile news app put out by Farm Journal and is available for both Android and Apple devices.
Potential Uses/ Testimonial:
I use it in conjunction with a few other ag-related news apps on my smartphone. Stories are broken down into Latest News, Crop News, Business News, and Livestock News. Beyond that I can check my local weather and even set the app to let me check weather in other locations. Like any good news item for a mobile device there is a Markets section to keep me up to date on crop markets. I can also tune in to broadcasts of AgWeb radio.
Likes/Dislikes:
I like AgWeb because I can check on several different things quickly and be up to speed on what is happening in agriculture. The only downside is that I have trouble sharing what I read on social media. There is an option to share to Facebook, but it doesn’t seem to work. When sharing to twitter, AgWeb will ask you for a PIN# which is something I’ve never seen. As such I haven’t been able to tweet anything from the app just yet.
Sharing issues aside, AgWeb is a really nice farm news application for your smartphone or tablet. It’s free for either operating system so you may as well try it out.
