Case New Holland’s Fargo plant plans to eliminate 120 jobs, effective June 29. The cut is due to the weak economy and coordinating production with demand. The company cites there is demand for farm equipment, however financing is not available due to global credit loss.
The layoffs account just over 20% of the current workforce. In March, 140 jobs were eliminated. It’s reported production will slow down from manufacturing 24 large tractors a day to 14.
