Dry weather prevailed across the Midwest over the weekend. However, showers were seen across Texas, central Oklahoma and south-central Kansas. Conditions are expected to be predominantly dry this week across the Midwest, with a few showers expected across Illinois, Indiana and Ohio on Tuesday. Mostly dry weather should prevail throughout the rest of the week in the Midwest. The dry weather will continue to favor remaining corn and soybean harvesting.

Showers should span across central and eastern Texas, eastern and southern Oklahoma, and central Kansas today, with a few showers lingering in Texas and eastern Oklahoma on Tuesday. Dry weather should then prevail across the Plains for the rest of the week. The rain early in the week should lead to minor improvements in soil moisture, but dryness is expected to persist across western Kansas, western Oklahoma, northwestern Texas, eastern Colorado and Nebraska, stressing winter wheat establishment.
