Farm diesel fell $0.001 during the report week to $3.423/gallon according to Inputs Monitor data. Eight of the twelve states in our index are unchanged, most for the second or third straight week.
Kansas and Nebraska continue to battle for the lowest farm diesel price in the Midwest with Nebraska unchanged at $3.29, followed closely by Kansas which added 2 cents this week to end at $3.31/gallon.
All movement -- both to the upside and downside -- was within 2 cents with the exception of a 6 cent move downward in Michigan to $3.31. Wisconsin and Minnesota each add a penny -- Kansas up 2 cents. All others were unchanged.
These prices suggest a seasonal low may be in place. Eight of the Twelve states in the Index are unchanged with only three of twelve posting increases. Consult your budget and your local pricing as now may be a good time to book some farm diesel for sidedress or for fall.

Gasoline-
The average retail price for regular gasoline fell 3 cents nationwide to $3.645/gallon -- $0.025 below year-ago.
East Coast gasoline up $0.012 to $3.501; Midwest falls $0.087 to $3.779; Gulf Coast $0.026 lower to $3.366; Rocky Mountain adds $0.053 to $3.725, and the West Coast moves $0.019 lower to $3.933.
Midwest gasoline prices spiked last week while retail pricing in the rest of the nation remained stable. Highway Diesel --
The national average price of highway diesel fell a full dime, ending the report week at $3.880 -- $0.017 below year-ago.
East Coast $0.007 lower to $3.864; Midwest highway diesel falls $0.018 to $3.916; Gulf Coast unchanged at $3.775; Rocky Mountain regional diesel firms $0.015 to $3.863, and West Coast highway diesel moved $0.022 lower to shake it’s $4 handle at $3.986.
