March 2011 Equipment Sales Report

The ag machinery market generated some surprising data in the AEM report.

The Association of Equipment manufacturers has released their March 2011 Flash Report for U.S. unit sales of agricultural equipment.

Overall, two-wheel farm tractor sales were up for the month, although the 100+ hp dipped slightly compared with previous data.
Four-wheel-drive tractor sales decreased for the first time in 2011.
Combine sales were up 22.3% compared with March 2010 and up 38.8% year-to-date.
AEM reports that equipment sales are above 2009 and 2010 data but lag below the 5-year average.
