Palmer Drought Index: Deficits in Eastern Corn Belt Spread

Palmer Drought Index continues to reflect harsh southern drought.

Juli says: Areas of the eastern Corn Belt need 3 to 9 inches of rain to erase drought conditions according to the precip needed map. The South remains in a world of trouble, as some areas are as much as 15 inches-plus deficit on rainfall.
