The Dow fell again today -- down 89.24 to 12,878.13. That’s a 0.69 reduction today by percentage. Not a huge dip, but enough of a decline to pull inputs stocks lower...most of them, anyway. But there were a few inputs stocks that bucked the trend and posted gains today.
Devon Energy Corp (DVN) up 0.25 to $53.12; Chesapeake Energy Corp. (CHK) added 0.17 to $17.41; CHS Inc. (CHSCP) 0.12 higher to $31.25 -- a 0.39% gain; E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co (DD) up a scant 0.09 to $43.44; PotashCorp (POT) adds 0.02, a 0.05% gain to $38.42; and Halliburton Co. (HAL) rounds out today’s gainers -- up just 0.01 to $32.04 -- a 0.02% increase.
The S&P 500 fell 7.35 to 1,398, but December crude found room to the upside, adding 1.22 to $86.67. December natural gas futures pitched a fit just before noon, testing support, then, rushing to the upside testing resistance. Dec nattie settles at $3.76 -- up 0.03, an 0.80% gain on the day and trending to the upside.
