A farm estate auction held over the weekend in West Unity, Ohio, has turned out to be one for the record books.

That’s because farmer David Beuhrer’s prized workhorse, a Gold Key Tour certified 2001 John Deere 8210 four-wheel drive, dual rear wheel tractor with 3,059 hours on it sold for $132,500.

The final auction bid smashed the previous record high price on a used JD 8210 by $17,500. According to Machinery Pete, that previous record high price had stood for 13+ years.

The sale was singled out on AgriTalk as Machinery Pete’s “Pete’s Pick of the Week”. You can listen to Pete’s full segment on AgriTalk via the embedded audio player below, or tune into the show every Monday morning to catch the segment live.

“Now, it was interesting because this tractor was a ‘Gold Key Tour’ tractor,” Pete told AgriTalk Radio host Chip Flory this week. “And people always ask me if that adds any value, and our data says that it does, and it obviously really did here, too.”

Here’s a full recap of the auction results from MachineryPete.com. The sale was facilitated by auction house AA Brown Auction Service and auctioneer Shane Sumner.

Check out the video preview below. Machinery Pete himself ventured out to Ohio a few weeks ago to meet the family and check out the JD 8210 and more equipment from the sale.
