A Decision-Making Corn Head

Drago’s corn head features unique technologies that allows it to reduce shelling loss.

Drago’s corn head features unique technologies that allows it to reduce shelling loss, says Drago’s Dustin Bollig.

This is accomplished by several key features:
-- Automatic, self-adjusting deck plates: The header’s plates self-adjust to the size of each stalk. “As different size stalks come in, the spring is constantly making thousands of decisions for you,” Bollig says.

-- Knife rollers: The head includes the longest knife roller in the industry, which reduces grain loss and butt-shelling.

-- Optional stalk chopper: The blades do not chop the stalk until the ear is removed, which helps reduce shelling loss.
