Built to maximize harvest yield potential on terraces or hills, Geringhoff Distribution launches the Folding AFT (Adaptive Flex Technology) corn head.
The AFT head is engineered with a pivot point in the center of its frame to offer flexibility to contour with the land. The company says the flex head paired with a folding frame delivers farmers the versatility needed in harvesting equipment.
The flex range is 8 degrees and equals:
- 50” flex range for 12-row
- 68” flex range for 16-row
- 75” flex range for 18-row
Available in 12-row and 16-row folding models for 30” spacing and 18-row rigid frame for 30”, the AFT is compatible with the North Star, North Star XDC and Rota Disc processing systems.
“Finding new and better ways to help farmers get the most out of their harvest is what we do best.” Craig Lee, Director of Sales, North America said. “The AFT head has revolutionized the way corn is harvested on terraces or hilly conditions and with the additional option of a folding and flexible frame, it will make it that much easier for farmers to transport this head between fields. The AFT head has 8 degrees of flex on either side of the center pivot point. Using the 16 row as an example, that gives farmers 68” of total flex range! We’re very excited to offer this kind of harvest technology.”
The folding transport widths are 15’7” for the 12-row model and 20’10” for the 16-row model.
