This fall Montag is also introduced the 2224 4EVER Series, which is designed to help farmers run all day. This is a super high capacity nutrient and/or seed metering unit. The 2224 4EVER Series can carry 13, 16, or 20 tons of product and is equipped for 24 rows to cover large amounts of acres with a banding application. The bin covers fold away hydraulically—offering full access to the bins when loading—with a wireless remote control.

The Cover Crop+ metering system is designed to handle even the smallest seeds, and it can be paired with tillage implements, combines as well as Hagie self-propelled sprayers and detasslers. When installed on the combine, the seed is put down behind the header and then covered with crop residue spread from the rear of the machine. The Cover Crop+ system comes with two sets of distribution augers—one is the small seed auger kit. And the system uses J.assy grain blockage sensors to monitor seed flow. This product is the result of a project with CoverCress, a new biofuel feedstock that required the ability to precisely meter very small seed.
