Precision Planting Unveils Electric vDrive System

Electric drive will be available as an option for vSet meters.

As the trend for electric drives on planters continues to grow, Precision Planting has introduced its electric vDrive which will be an option for vSet meters. The system is outfitted with a 12 volt motor on each meter. Using the 20/20 SeedSense, the vDrive provides single row control without clutches, hydraulic motors and chains or cables. Another advantage of electric control is the fast response, particularly when planting curves, and its precise control with ground speed changes or with variable rate prescriptions.
