MachineryPete.com announces that Machinery Pete Auctions, its online auction marketplace for selling and buying used farm equipment, has added an agriculture tire and wheel segment to its monthly online auctions in partnership with Dawson Tire & Wheel. As North America’s leading supplier of agricultural tires, Dawson will sell its inventory and represent other auction sellers, giving farmers a new way to buy tires through an online auction platform.

“Agricultural tires and wheels have long been an afterthought at auction and, given how critical tires are to farmers when making purchase decisions on big equipment, we are making it easier to connect farmers with sellers of high-quality tires at a fair market price from a trusted partner like Dawson Tire and Wheel,” said Greg Peterson, founder of MachineryPete.com and Machinery Pete Auctions.

The partnership kicked off with the Machinery Pete June 21 online auction featuring 15 sets of ag tires for sale by Dawson, including a set of 4 new Trelleborg TM800 710/70R38 tires selling for $8,900. The June auction also saw several equipment items selling at high prices, including a 2010 John Deere 6100D with 204 hours and loader from Missouri selling for $65,250, a new record high auction sale price.

“We’re excited to work with the Machinery Pete team to offer ag tires and wheels through the online auction platform,” said Eric MacPherson, Dawson founder and CEO. “Ag tires and wheels have long been overlooked and are difficult to find online when you are looking for something specific. We are also excited to offer the only tread depth percentage verification process in the industry, Treadsure Verified. We want the ag community to buy with confidence and will do everything we can to make sure customers are satisfied with their purchases.”

Bidding is open at www.auctions.machinerypete.com for the July 19 Machinery Pete Auction.
