EU Wheat Exports Running Well Ahead of Year-Ago

European Union soft wheat exports since July 1 reached 17.67 MMT as of Jan. 15, up 6% from the same period last year. France remained by far the biggest EU soft wheat exporter in 2022-23, with 7.50 MMT shipped, followed by Romania and Germany with 2.01 MMT each, Latvia with 1.62 MMT and Lithuania with 1.44 MMT.

EU corn export totaled 15.66 MMT, up 88% from the same period last year. EU barley exports at 3.06 MMT were 39% behind year-ago at this time.
