A Kansas farmer and his crew had a close call Monday night as they had front-row view of the confirmed tornado that touched down near Selden, Kansas Monday. Footage shows the moment the tornado ripped through.

A Kansas farmer and his crew had a close call Monday night. Nathan Kelly had a front-row view of the confirmed tornado that touched down near Selden, Kansas Monday. As you can see in the video Kelly posted, the tornado tore across fields and rammed over his pickup truck while Kelly and his crew were inside. It shows just how much velocity the crew endured as the tornado tore through.

It continues with Kelly checking on the other individuals inside the pickup. Despite items crashing into the truck and breaking windshields, no one was hurt.

Kelly also posted the aftermath on TikTok, showing his truck beat by debris in place. He thinks part of a grain bin even hit the pick-up.

Reports from Sheridan County confirmed the tornado did damage, even overturning train cars and damaging grain silos. Trees were knocked down and homes were also damaged as a result of Monday’s tornado. The sheriff reported 38 properties have major damage and another 84 have minor damage.
