Ferrie: Plant When the Field is Ready

Farm Journal Agronomist Ken Ferrie says don’t let your inputs delay planting.

Growers have moved from plan A, to plan B, C and beyond when it comes to nitrogen applications for the 2019 growing season, according to Farm Journal Agronomist Ken Ferrie. But in this week’s Boots in the Field Report Podcast, Ferrie warns against further delays in planting.

“Do not let either your nitrogen application or your herbicide applications delay planting when the when the field is ready,” Ferrie warns.
