3 Succession Planning Breakouts To Attend At 2017 Top Producer Seminar

Producers who are in the process of building or updating their succession plans will find plenty of learning opportunities at the 2017 Top Producer Seminar. Registration is now open for the event, which takes place Jan. 24-27 in Chicago.

For example, attorney Polly Dobbs will present two sessions of “Beyond the Simple Will: More Estate Planning Now, Less Fighting Later.” The first begins at 10:10 a.m. CDT and the second will start at 11:30, both on Thursday, Jan. 26.

Also at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 26, CPA and AgWeb.com blogger Paul Neiffer, aka The Farm CPA, will present a session titled “Estate Tax Updates: Entity Structures, IRS Attack on Business Discounts, Gifting and More.”

Farmers can also learn about the transition into leadership roles that young farmers are making across the U.S. during the 10:10 a.m. Jan. 26 panel titled “Transition Insights from the Incoming Generation.”Young producers from Mississippi, North Dakota and Kansas will share the lessons they’ve learned about entering management roles and working with family to make the transition successful.
